Power7 Processor is going to be launched by IBM on Monday 8 Feb, 2010. Power7 Processor has been integrated by eight processing cores and each processing core can perform four tasks at one time. These eight processing cores will be on one chip and this will be tuning in to thirty two processing cores.
Power7 processor will be helpful for small electric grids and performing millions transaction in one time. Power7 systems are IBM Power 780, IBM Power 770 and IBM Power 755.
IBM Power 780 is having 64 power cores, modular design with high end servers working. IBM Power 770 is high performance core processor having 64 power cores, which is better then power6. IBM Power 755 is high performance 32 power7 cores processor.
