What kinds of low carb recipes can you suggest that would appeal to a family with two children ages 10 and 15?
George: In my house, we make meals using foods that are naturally low in carbs, so we don’t need to sacrifice anything or go out of our way to make them. We just make a few simple changes to our favorite recipes by adding cheese to a meatloaf instead of breadcrumbs for example, or by using seasoned soy flour to bread fried foods like chicken and pork chops. Also, by replacing sugar with sugar alternatives you can make tons of satisfying desserts. We also take multi-vitamins daily and eat plenty of veggies, berries, nuts, and the like.
My son Christian was 15 when he lost 165 lbs on a low carb diet. While at the local pizzeria with friends, he’d trade pizza, french fries, and shakes for an antipasto or chef’s salad with a diet soda. That can’t hurt!
