What is a low carb substitute for chips and breads to use with dips such as hummus and salsa?
Luckily, it’s still “hip to dip” on low carb! Raw vegetables make great natural alternatives for dipping. Try using broccoli and cauliflower florets, sticks of celery, zucchini or yellow squash, cucumber slices, mushrooms, and bell pepper strips.
I also like to deep fry mushrooms, okra, and mozzarella cheese sticks or chicken tenders. Dip them in egg wash, season with salt, pepper, and garlic, and then bread in soy flour before frying.
